Factory Acceptance Test (FAT): A series of tests carried out by the supplier and the client to verify that a machine, system, or equipment meets the agreed specifications and requirements before leaving the factory for delivery.
Site Acceptance Test (SAT): A testing process conducted on-site to verify that a system, installation, or product functions correctly at its final location. Unlike the FAT, which takes place at the supplier’s site, the SAT is performed at the client’s site, usually after installation but before full operation.
