Heat recovery project for a cement production company
To reduce a cement production company’s gas bill, we conducted a feasibility study to partially recover heat from the production process. The goal was to use hot air from the production process as combustion air for a gas burner that heats iron slag from a nearby company to form powder.
The hot air was routed from the chimney to the burner’s supply duct through a system of air ducts, with control provided by electro-pneumatic butterfly valves.
Based on the final design, we prepared technical specifications that served as the basis for a competition. The bids received were used to accurately estimate the total project cost and return on investment (ROI).
This project realized a sustainable and cost-effective solution, fully tailored to the company’s needs.
